Job summary

A recruitment consultancy in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Specialist to maintain IT infrastructure, including PCs, networks, and servers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in IT and up to 3 years of experience, alongside familiarity with ERP/MES systems. Willingness to provide on-site support in production areas and work outside normal hours is required.

Qualifications

Job description
Responsiblities
  • Maintain (PCs, printers, barcode scanners, etc.) & LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi
  • Ensure servers and data storage are running smoothly (file servers, domain controllers)
  • Manage user accounts, email, Active Directory, file permissions & (antivirus, firewalls, data protection policies)
  • Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery plans are in place
  • Support for MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP, or factory-specific systems
  • Troubleshoot machine-PC communication issues (e.g., PLCs, IoT devices)
  • Ensure system uptime to minimize production downtime
  • Install, configure, and maintain standard and custom software
  • Provide technical support to end-users
  • Liaise with software vendors for updates, bugs, or new implementations
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, data protection, and access control
  • Support ISO/IEC 27001 or other relevant compliance needs if applicable
  • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related issues
  • Provide training or guidance to staff on using systems or software
  • Maintain IT asset inventory
  • Prepare incident reports, maintenance logs, and update manuals
  • Support audits and provide technical documentation
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science with 1–3 years of experience
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, Network support, PC Security and (Active Directory, file sharing, backup)
  • Familiary with ERP/MES system (Printers, scanners, barcode systems)
  • Willing to do on-site support in production areas and after-hours or weekend support
