Position Summary

Diggers is looking for an Application Support Officer for a permanent position in Singapore. Fluency in English is mandatory.

Client Overview

The final client is the Trading entity of a global energy company with 8 trading platforms and activities in more than 50 countries. It employs 1,400 people worldwide. The team manages and develops the group’s trading activities for the APAC region and the LNG business worldwide.

Main Missions
  • Ensure system stability and run continuity for the full system (services, batches, etc.) running in Europe or Singapore.
  • Administrate vendor‑based trading platform (accesses, order routing, limits, broker connections, etc.).
  • Provide support to users on the application perimeter: Pre‑trade/Pricing – Trade Life Cycle – Post‑Trade/Greeks/VAR/Valo.
  • Share relevant information with support and development teams in Paris & Brussels.
Main Responsibilities
  • Production monitoring – monitor the global IT platform and execute associated actions when alerts are raised; process (analyse, solve, document) incidents; coordinate incident resolution with Paris teams when necessary; maintain monitoring systems and continuously improve effectiveness; participate in writing or enhancing operational procedures; engage in FTS model with Europe, including information sharing and handover; follow up on platform evolution (release) and adapt monitoring tools and procedures.
  • Support to users – process local user support requests (configurations, assistance, …); collect user feedback on system run quality and share with development teams.
  • Transversal – enrich the backlog of problems (source of recurring incidents); self‑organise continuous learning on the IS systems and landscape; manage the IT part of the Singapore Business Continuity Plan; share improvement ideas with Business Analyst.
Required Skills
  • University degree in IT Engineering or Mathematics.
  • First relevant experience in IT trading environment.
  • Basic experience and knowledge about Trading and/or portfolio management processes; derivatives/commodities is a plus.
  • Behavioral and social skills: active listening and communication, problem solving, personal effectiveness.
  • Technical skills: understanding of trading environment; experience in live monitoring and application support of large IT systems; good technical knowledge of Windows environment; SQL skills; scripting skills.
  • English fluent.
