Role Overview

As a key member of our iOS team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining the CMB iOS mobile application. Your focus will be on implementing new product features, fixing issues, and enhancing the mobile application user experience, all while leveraging iOS tools such as Swift, Core Data, and other Apple frameworks.

Collaborating within a cross-functional team, including product managers, designers, data engineers,backend engineers, and QA analysts, you will work closely with the Tech Lead and peers to advance our product and contribute to our engineering community.

This is a hands‑on builder role suited to someone who is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and passionate about crafting elegant mobile experiences. Over time, you can expect to develop into an independent, capable, and confident iOS developer with high‑impact contributions to a consumer mobile application used by millions.

Feature Development & Implementation

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS applications using Swift and modernApple frameworks.
• Translate product requirements and design specs into elegant, efficient, and maintainablecode.
• Implement new features end-to-end, from technical design to release and post-launchmonitoring.
• Build reusable iOS software components for interfacing with back-end platforms.
• Stay current with the latest Apple platform updates, leveraging new capabilities todrive innovation within the CMB app.

Code Quality & Performance

• Write clean, testable code following best practices, including API design and unittesting techniques.
• Engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure code quality andmaintainability.
• Analyse and optimise application code for quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimising for smooth UX, low memoryfootprint, and battery efficiency.
• Monitor, diagnose, and address production crashes and customer-reported issues.
• Ensure application stability and compatibility across various iOS versions and devicetypes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and back-end teamsto build features that prioritize user experience.
• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongstavailable technologies.
• Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of the product.
• Lead and mentor other engineers in the team, contributing to knowledge sharing andteam growth.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience building and shipping iOS applications.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalentpractical experience.
• Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Familiarity with client application architecture patterns like VIPER, MVVM, and MVP.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and softwareengineering principles.
• Solid understanding of iOS SDK and frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, GCD,and URLSession.
• Experience with multithreading programming and mobile memory management.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Experience publishing apps to the App Store.
• Solid communication skills and team-working capability.

Nice to Have

• Up-to-date with new iOS technologies and industry trends, with ability to apply knowledgeto enhance product and reliability.
• Familiarity with subscription-based consumer app development.
• Regional experience in APAC markets is a strong plus.
