Immediate Interior Designer
Scope
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Pre-design
- Meet clients to define scope, look & feel, and project timeline.
Design Development
- Develop detailed AutoCAD plans, RCP, millwork drawings, and 3D SketchUp / Enscape visuals.
- Develop and present perspectives, schematic, construction drawings, and design solutions aligned with project intent, criteria, program, and budget.
- Select materials, colors, fixtures, and furniture.
Documentation
- Coordinate with technical support to produce tender packages.
- Review detailed design documentation including floor plans, elevations, sections, electrical details, schedules, furniture plans, FF&E specifications, and materials to ensure compliance with quality, code, and design standards.
- Generate FF&E and architectural finish specifications, review and approve purchase orders, coordinate installation, and maintain FF&E budgets.
Project Management
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with contractors, carpenters, and vendors.
- Monitor project tasks against schedule to ensure service delivery.
Post Project
- Maintain client relations for repeat business and referrals.
General
- Ensure work is accurate, aligned, and completed per client’s brief.
- Propose materials, designs, and FF&E within budget.
- Attend meetings and site inspections for quality control.
- Propose solutions for design, scheduling, budget, and quality issues.
- Perform space planning.
- Serve as principal contact for purchasing and FF&E vendors, assisting in selection and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure prompt task completion and resolve issues.
