A leading aerospace MRO company in Singapore seeks a qualified technician responsible for inspecting incoming parts and performing quality checks on components. Candidates must have relevant engineering qualifications (NITEC or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience in an aerospace MRO facility. The role requires excellent teamwork and communication skills, compliance with safety standards, and the ability to perform both visual and dimensional inspections. Receive, inspect and document incoming parts, ensures specification conform to customer Purchase Order. Enter order receipts in Oracle. Raise Change Request if new parts are received.
Perform visual and dimensional inspection on aero engine / industrial components in accordance with job instructions and customer specifications and other contractual agreements and prepare accurate reparability inspection reports.
Inspect parts received from (OVS) suppliers and ensure conformity to AST Purchase Order/ specifications as stated using CMM and /or manual gages required for accurate inspection checks. Raise NCR if nonconformity is found.
Perform final inspection / dispatch inspection, pack the repaired parts using approved packaging materials. Prepare shipping documents and product certificates.
Participate in audits, inspections, new product development and CI Programs when required.
Comply with and support EHS, Quality, Code of Ethics, all rules and regulations.
Maintain inspection equipment and instruments. Solve technical issues and problems where appropriate in daily work.
Maintains personal qualifications as stated in the appropriate company process.
Supervises trainees in the on-the-job trainer training requirements.
Cross trains in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
Moves between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out other duties as assigned.
Understand and comply with all regulatory requirements.
Perform dimensional and geometric measurements Handle common measurement instructions/devices.
Use hand tools and other equipment as required.
Awareness and understanding of Basic Human Factors and Error Management.
Self‑disciplined and able to communicate effectively and work as a team.
Apply workplace safety and health practices and perform basic safety practices and documentation. Apply 5S and basic CI techniques in the workplace.
Adequate skills in MS Office (Excel, Word etc.) and ability to interface with ERP systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
Regularly required to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
‘O’ Level/NITEC/WSQ in Precision/ Aerospace/ Mechanical Engineering.
3 years’ experience in aerospace component MRO facility.
