About the job

As part of the Business Navigation team, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance to meet the store’s operational needs. You will support budgeting and forecasting by translating store strategies into measurable performance indicators through analysis and benchmarking. This highly visible role involves close collaboration across functions and offers an excellent opportunity to gain deep insight into IKEA’s commercial operations.

Your assignment
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Support the business plan, budget, and forecast process by translating strategies into financial scenarios and P&L outcomes.
  • Lead monthly and annual closing procedures with full understanding of the store’s P&L, ensuring compliance with IKEA accounting standards and legal requirements.
  • Monitor and analyse key financial KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to store management to steer cost-efficiency and profitability.
Business Navigation & Performance Monitoring
  • Provide dynamic and user-friendly business reports and dashboards to support commercial decision-making.
  • Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to convert performance insights into actions, including daily sales estimates and gross profit optimisation.
  • Conduct benchmarking and share best practices to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Administrative & Procurement Support
  • Oversee accurate invoice management, account reconciliation, and compliance with procurement policies and IWAY standards.
  • Coordinate administrative tasks such as travel expense processing, incident management, and general store purchases.
  • Support contract reviews and supplier quotation comparisons to ensure cost-effective and compliant procurement.
Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure adherence to internal and external audit requirements.
  • Monitor and implement financial controls that contribute to a safe, secure, and compliant environment for co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
Collaboration & Capability Building
  • Train and support co-workers in interpreting business reports and financial tools.
  • Promote a culture of cost-consciousness and commercial thinking across the store.
Your profile
  • A professional with minimum 2 years of strong FP&A experience and business acumen and feels invigorated by a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A globally recognised professional accounting qualification, e.g. CPA, ACCA, CIMA, etc is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution.
  • Process driven, results-oriented with excellent analytical capability and critical thinking skills.
  • Meticulous with strong attention to details and good follow-up skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multi-cultural business partners and stakeholders, within cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Experience in ERP or financial reporting systems like TM1, MVBC, Qilkview.
  • A retailer who contributes towards the business through actions and presence including weekends, public holidays, and on rotating shifts.
