Job summary

A local educational institution in Singapore is seeking an experienced ICT Executive to manage ICT programs, perform business solution planning, and oversee procurement of ICT/AV equipment. The successful candidate will have a diploma in ICT with at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in MOE-funded schools. Responsibilities include project management, vendor liaison, and providing end-user training. Excellent ICT technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills are essential. This role will support the school's efforts in enhancing technology for teaching and learning.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Manage ICT Programmes
  • The ICT Executive will manage school initiated ICT projects and co-ordinate ICT project roll-outs for school while ensuring that MOE policies, guidelines and standards are adhered to.
  • The ICT Executive will be a point of contact with MOE for dissemination and co-ordination of ICT project-matters for schools.
  • He/She will be required to provide project updates to the Head (ICT) and prepare any relevant documentations and guidelines pertaining to the project.
  • Assist with the facilitation of Departmental or Organizational Projects and the management of relevant vendors, work closely with technical teams to provide technical solutions.
2. Business Solution and ICT Planning
  • The ICT Executive will work with the Head (ICT) on gathering the ICT needs of the school and propose solutions that meet the requirements of the school’s technical specifications and market pricing of these solutions.
  • The ICT Executive will be required to proactively scan the market for technology trends and new technology tools that support Teaching and Learning, and train and update the school staff.
  • Work with Head (ICT) in preparing the Holistic ICT Work Plan annually.
3. Procurement of ICT/AV Equipment & Services
  • The ICT Executive will assist the Head (ICT) in purchasing ICT/AV Equipment & Services based on the school’s requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors on schedules of delivery/repairs to be done.
  • Provide end user training and guidance to colleagues to empower them with relevant ICT skillsets.
4. Manage ICT/AV Resources
  • The ICT Executive will assist the Head (ICT) in managing the school’s ICT/AV resources such as the replacement and condemnation of ICT/AV equipment, management of inventory, maintenance of IT records, tracking and update of licenses, distribution of IT equipment and loan of ICT/AV equipment.
5. Other Tasks
  • He/she needs to facilitate video conference & webinar sessions through various applications such as MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc.
  • He/she needs to provide AV support for school’s meetings, conferences, events and workshops.
  • Assist in catering to the AV needs of the school (e.g., provide videography/photography service during events, set‑up AV equipment, do video production (editing, producing)).
Requirements
  • Diploma in ICT with at least 5 years of relevant ICT experience (please note that salary will be commensurate with the Personnel’s educational qualification and experience).
  • Preferable to have at least 5 years’ working experience in schools funded by MOE.
  • Good ICT technical knowledge to configure, install and maintain school owned IT equipment’s of end‑user devices - hardware & software.
  • Preferable to have experience in managing contracts for ICT projects, liaising with ICT vendors and project management.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, planning, analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task, work both independently and as a team.
