The IB Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, supporting students’ academic achievement, critical thinking, and readiness for higher education.
The role involves curriculum delivery, assessment, academic mentoring, and collaboration with the academic team to ensure teaching excellence and consistent learning outcomes.
Deliver engaging and effective lessons in IB Physics / IB Mathematics / IB Chemistry at MYP and/or DP levels, according to assigned teaching load.
Plan and prepare lesson materials, teaching resources, and instructional activities in line with IB standards.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities.
Implement IB curriculum frameworks, including Internal Assessments (IA), formative and summative assessments.
Provide timely, constructive feedback on assignments, assessments, and examinations.
Support students in exam preparation, academic planning, and subject mastery.
Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance to improve performance and learning outcomes.
Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic progress when required.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, academic consultations, and school events.
Collaborate with subject teams to maintain consistency in teaching standards and assessments.
Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, and academic meetings.
Engage in continuous professional development, including IB training and workshops.
Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and assessment documentation.
Comply with institutional policies, academic regulations, and safeguarding requirements.
Support the school’s academic initiatives and quality assurance processes.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Education, or a related discipline.
Teaching qualification or professional certification is preferred.
Prior experience teaching IB Physics, IB Mathematics, or IB Chemistry is highly preferred.
Experience with international curricula (IB, IGCSE, A-Level or equivalent) will be an advantage.
Familiarity with IB assessment criteria and examination requirements.
Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills.
Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students academically.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
