Job summary

A leading HR solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an HR and Payroll Specialist to manage payroll for 200-300 employees. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll processing, HRIS management, and the ability to communicate HR policies effectively. Candidates should hold a degree in Human Resource Management, have at least 2 years of relevant experience, and be proficient in Microsoft Office. This position involves handling statutory submissions and employee inquiries.

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Handle accurate and timely payroll processing for approximately 200-300 employees.
  • Maintain HRIS database and staff personnel files.
  • Manage leave administration.
  • Submit Government Paid Leaves (GPL) and other statutory submissions such as CPF, IR21, IR8A, and NS claims.
  • Process insurance claims and administer group insurance programs like Work Injury Compensation and Group Hospital & Surgical.
  • Prepare payroll-related and ad-hoc reports as requested by management.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll and HR matters.
  • Assist in Compensation & Benefits activities such as performance appraisals and salary or bonus reviews.
  • Communicate and explain HR policies to employees.
  • Prepare letters such as confirmation, promotion, warning, and employment certification.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, preferably with 2 years of experience in the construction or process industry.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and administration.
  • Experience with Infotech HR Software is advantageous.
  • Keen interest in payroll tasks, which are the primary focus.
  • Strong understanding of MOM legislation.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and meticulous with details.
  • Independent team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
