About the job

The HSSE Analyst supports the HSSE Safety and Security Team in leading a data-driven appraisal of the manufacturing sites’ HSSE performance. This role is pivotal in providing analytics, metrics, and communications that enhance safety culture, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the site.

Job Descriptions
1. HSSE Data Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor, analyze, and report HSSE performance data to Group, Business, Country, and Sites levels
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, charts, and statistical reports for leading indicators and compliance metrics.
  • Analyze data from site walkabouts, audit and health check programs, contractor performance, and support in strategizing appropriate improvement strategies based on available data. This entails working with relevant subject matter focal points to support the development of intervention or improvement plans where required.
  • Fulfil Performance Monitoring & Reporting (PMR) obligations, including regular data review exercises and facilitating monthly peer reviews
2. HSSE Communications & Engagement
  • Maintain awareness of current HSSE issues on site and periodically communicate progress/findings of HSSE audits.
  • Create high-quality HSSE communications and collateral materials for internal and contractor engagement, including performance indicators, procedures, alerts, learning materials, and guidance documents.
3. Digital Systems & Platform Management
  • Act as superuser or site administrator for key HSSE solutions, including reporting and permit-to-work systems.
  • Manage integrity of the solution; assess, understand, and manage impacts of changes, including communicating and/or escalating changes/issues where appropriate.
  • Manage user access, screen requests, and ensure relevant criteria are met before granting access
  • Prepare communication, training or guidance materials for users in the events of application changes, updates and where necessary
  • Be familiar with the components of the solution, interact regularly with the respective stakeholders managing each component, and act as a mediator for related queries, and escalation where appropriate
4. Information Management & Quality Control
  • Serve as Quality Systems Controller for HSSE documents, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance.
  • Functional Site Owner of the HSSE department SharePoint site, managing permissions and access, and performing site customisation where necessary.
  • Provide Information (Risk) Management (IM/IRM) support to the department, resolve non-technical issues, and promote productivity tools adoption.
Job Requirements
  • A Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) or any Engineering discipline.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is an advantage.
  • HSSE Personal with 3 years of experience in petrochemical industry
  • Strong computer proficiency, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) is an added advantage.
  • A collaborative team player with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Fresh graduates from polytechnics or universities with a strong learning mindset are encouraged to apply.
