Job description

The HSE Coordinator (Marine Construction) supports the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements for marine engineering works, including operations onboard the reclaimer vessel. The role ensures compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) regulations, project safety standards, and supports the Company’s BizSAFE and ISO-aligned safety management system, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Attend vessel visits and conduct routine inspections to monitor HSE compliance during daily operations.

  • Prepare, review, and submit Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits, and related HSE documentation to the main contractor for review and approval.

  • Maintain and support the review citizenship and updating of the Company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and safety programs or initiatives.

  • Conduct HSE inductions, in-house training, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.

  • Lead or participate in incident and near‑miss investigations, including root cause analysis and follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions.

Requirements
  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Diploma in Engineering would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant HSE experience in marine and construction environments.
  • Good working knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Act and MOM regulations.
  • Experience in preparing and implementing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and permit‑to‑work systems.
  • Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing to work on‑site and attend vessel visits as required.
