A construction firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead HR functions and develop effective HR strategies. Responsibilities include managing recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HR experience in the engineering or construction sector, with a strong understanding of HR laws and regulations in Singapore. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success in this role.
Lead and oversee the full spectrum of HR and administrative for office, including recruitment, compensation and benefits management, policy development, employee remuneration, and overall HR strategy.
Manage the HR teams with providing guidance, coaching, and support.
Collaborate with the Heads of Departments to develop and implement HR policies, strategies, and processes that attract, retain, and develop talent while enhancing workforce productivity.
Provide expert advice on employee relations matters to foster a cohesive, collaborative, and positive workplace culture.
Align HR strategies with business objectives and contribute as a key member of the management team to address organizational challenges.
Prepare and review employment-related documentation, including appointment letters, increment letters, resignation acceptance letters, and disciplinary action letters.
Manage payroll processing, benefits administration, reimbursements, CPF contributions, IR8A filings, and other statutory or government claims.
Conduct annual job grading, salary banding, and performance evaluations.
Assess training and development needs and make recommendations to enhance employee growth and organizational capability.
Oversee the management of insurance policies, including health, workers’ compensation, and liability insurance, and coordinate claims and renewals.
Plan and manage welfare initiatives, company events, and team-building activities.
Introduce initiatives to improve workforce productivity and operational efficiency.
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prefer 5 years of HR manager experience, within the engineering or construction sector.
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including work pass regulations and procedures in Singapore.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and integrity.
Strong multitasking, planning, and coordination abilities with attention to detail.
