Job summary

An international education institution in Singapore is seeking a Human Resources Executive to oversee HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a multicultural environment, along with a degree in Human Resources or a related field. Job description

The Human Resources Executive plays a key role in supporting the full spectrum of HR functions. This position is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, records management, and HR compliance, while ensuring a culturally inclusive and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring experience in an international or multicultural setting and be capable of handling HR matters with professionalism, discretion, and cultural sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support end-to-end recruitment for both academic and non-academic staff, including international hiring.
  • Coordinate interviews, reference checks, contract preparation, and visa/work permit documentation where applicable.
  • Plan and facilitate onboarding programs to help new staff integrate into the school’s culture and practices.
HR Operations & Records
  • Maintain and update staff records including contracts, personal files, and leave tracking in compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Monitor contract renewals, probationary periods, and visa expiry dates.
  • Maintain accurate HR databases and reports.
Employee Relations
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, promoting a respectful, inclusive, and supportive work culture.
  • Assist in managing staff welfare, engagement programs, and feedback channels.
  • Support in handling disciplinary issues and conflict resolution, in line with school policy and local labor laws.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local labour laws, child safeguarding standards, and school policies.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare documentation for audits, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
Training & Development
  • Coordinate staff professional development programs and maintain training records.
  • Assist in organising workshops, INSET days, and other training initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of HR experience, ideally within an international school or multicultural organisation.
  • Knowledgeable of Singapore government compliance – MOM, IRAS, SSG etc.
  • Familiarity with international hiring processes, relocation, and visa procedures is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative work style.
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling personnel matters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, HR and payroll software, and digital documentation systems.
  • Experience in an international school or education sector.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced, diverse educational environment.
  • Positive attitude, initiative, and a strong sense of integrity and service.
