This role involves providing high-performance computing (HPC) advice to climate researchers, engaging with the scientific community, and optimizing climate/weather applications. Candidates should hold a Master's degree and have ideally 3 years of experience in climate simulations. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with programming expertise in C/C++, Python, or Fortran.

Qualifications

• Ideally, 3 years of experience in climate or weather simulations.
• Experience in building climate/weather applications from source code.
• Familiar with climate/weather applications like UM, WRF.

Responsibilities

• Provide HPC and scientific domain advice to users of NSCC systems.
• Engage with researchers with computationally intensive requirements.
• Support and optimise large-scale climate/weather workloads.
