Job description

Our client is an Asia focused Multi-asset Fund company and seeking a fund accountant to grow the team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Cash Management & Optimization: Reconcile daily cash positions across funds and optimize cash utilization to reduce funding costs and expenses.
• Margin Oversight: Monitor margin levels across funds and asset classes to ensure sufficient margin excess and support overall portfolio stability.
• Investor & Client Support: Coordinate onboarding (KYC/AML), manage subscriptions/redemptions, and address investor accounting, tax, and reporting needs, including materials for marketing and DDQs.
• Strategic Projects & Cross-Team Initiatives: Support new fund launches and contribute to firm-wide projects focused on improving operational efficiency and controlling operational expenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Possession of CA/CPA qualification shall be a plus.
• 3+ years’ experience in fund accounting or investment operations, with preferred exposure to Hedge funds, long/short and some cash management experience.
• Understanding of key regulatory reporting requirements (US/CFTC, Singapore, Hong Kong) and knowledge of major fund tax regimes, including US tax rules and the UK reporting fund regime.
• Experience working with fund fees and expenses shall be a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with portfolio management system experience is considered a plus.
