Job description
Responsibilities
  • Operate vacuum furnaces to perform heat‑treat and brazing operations.
  • Maintain heat‑treating logs for all furnaces and parts.
  • Perform incoming inspection prior to heat‑treat part.
  • Prepare plasma, such as mask, grit blast, and machine set up as per work instruction.
  • Perform TPM checks on machines.
  • Perform SAT and uniformity checks.
  • Carry out leak‑rate checks on vacuum furnace.
  • Select and verify the heat‑treatment program.
  • Interpret chart paper.
  • Identify and resolve abnormal situations or conditions on parts and furnaces.
  • Multi‑task effectively.
  • Follow work instructions and comply with all quality requirements and safety rules during duties.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and work area.
  • Complete production paperwork and system transactions.
  • Understand and adhere to all work instructions associated with the work performed.
  • Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during duties (proper PPE).
  • Perform jobs in priority order unless instructed otherwise.
  • Perform and complete operations IAW the required technical data referenced in the job traveler (operation sheets, engine manuals, OEM SPMs, written engineering instructions).
  • Report nonconformance related to parts, paperwork, equipment, tooling or materials to the immediate Cell Leader.
Core Requirements
  • GCE ‘O’ Level / NITEC / Technician Certificate or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry
  • Able to read and interpret operation sheets and follow complex instructions and/or directions
  • Able to read, speak and write English
