Working schedule:

5 days work week (Rotating Morning/Afternoon shifts only)

Morning shift – start 8am, ends at 4/5/6pm (depending on workload)

Afternoon shift – start 11am/12pm/1pm, ends at 7/8/9pm (depending on workload)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist operations of the sterile supplies unit (TSSU), i.e., receive, sort, decontaminate inspect, package, sterilize, store, and distribute surgical instruments and supplies to operation theatres, SOC, in-patient wards and procedural rooms.
  • Ensure all staff follow proper procedures for operating washer-disinfectors, dryers, ultrasonic washers, and sterilizers.
  • Conduct and evaluate sterilizer tests.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of sterile linen and surgical consumables, and issue supplies promptly to supporting areas.
  • Monitor and track preventive maintenance for all sterilization equipment.
  • Keep the sterile supplies unit clean and organized.
  • Facilitate repair or replacement of defective equipment or instruments.
  • Liaise with OT nurses to prepare consignment sets for procedures.
  • Supervise, guide, and support junior staff in their daily work.
  • Participate in clinical quality and service improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate instrument tracking records and systems.
Key Requirements:
  • Min. NITEC or Diploma in Engineering / Health Services or relevant fields
  • Bonus if possess WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Sterilisation Services).
  • Physically fit to carry surgical equipment boxes
  • Bonus if possess prior working experience as an Instrument Technician in healthcare field.
