The Singapore Sports School Multi‑Sport Academy is a specialised talent development pathway launched in 2023 for aspiring national athletes who are still exploring the sport they wish to focus on. Instead of specialising early, student‑athletes undergo a two‑year, broad‑based multi‑sport programme that emphasises strong movement competencies and transferable athletic skills, giving them the time and space to discover where they can excel. By the end of Secondary 2, they are guided to select a specialised sport for their upper and post‑secondary years, entering their chosen pathway with a strong, well‑rounded athletic foundation.
As the Head / Senior Coach in our Multi‑Sport Academy, you will:
- Design, deliver and continually refine a multi‑sport high‑performance pathway that develops strong, versatile athletes.
- Develop and execute the strength and conditioning (S&C) programme for all Multi‑Sport Academy athletes.
- Support athletes’ transition into the most suitable specialised sport by the end of their multi‑sport phase.
- Track, analyse and communicate progress of each student‑athlete, providing clear and regular updates to various stakeholders.
- Lead and provide guidance to a team of coaches, setting clear standards and direction for the programme.
- Coordinate and oversee training across sports and disciplines, aligning training plans and objectives for all involved coaches.
