Job description
Overview

The Head, Philanthropy will play a critical role in driving TPC’s expansion into Corporate Philanthropy. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head, Philanthropy to lead, manage and drive project development efforts of our new multi-faceted philanthropy foundation setup, which focuses on Education, Healthcare and Climate/Environment. This includes uplifting identified communities, which includes youth, working adults and parents with their school going children.

He/she would possess a combination of professional experience, skills, and qualities that align with the complexities of philanthropy, community development, and stakeholder engagement. He/she will be working with social service organizations, government ministries agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, community leaders, and grassroots organizations to create sustainable and impactful initiatives that empower these underserved communities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Strategic Development of the Philanthropy’s setup (through TPC’s Corporate Philanthropy strategy) and Financial Management
  • Develop a comprehensive and overarching philanthropic strategy that aligns with TPC Group’s vision, mission and values, ensuring a focus on TPC’s well-being mandate
  • Develop a sustainable financial plan and resource mobilization strategy which involves budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, to ensure the efficient and effective utilization of funds.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders through a comprehensive Community Partnership Strategy for Advocacy & Engagement
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with through multi-sector partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, including social service organizations, government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, community leaders, and grassroots organizations
  • Represent the philanthropy/foundations in conferences, panel discussions, and public speaking engagements related to philanthropy, community development, and social impact. Continually raise awareness about its mission and impact.
  • Design, Manage and Evaluate the Philanthropy Foundation’s programs
  • Develop a comprehensive program management framework that encompasses all aspects of the foundation's initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Team Leadership
  • Build and manage a dedicated team of professionals, including program managers and support staff.
Job Experience / Qualifications
  • Proven track record of at least 15 years in nonprofit leadership roles, with a focus on philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), community development, or social services.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and implementing impactful philanthropic strategies, particularly in underserved communities in Singapore.
  • Enterprising and resourceful
  • Strong network within the non-profit sector, including relationships with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) - funded social service organizations, local businesses, and community leaders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and driving collaboration across multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising techniques.
  • Passion for community upliftment, social justice, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of marginalized individuals
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an authentic and confident presence that builds credibility and trust
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple streams of work at high quality
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver under tight timelines
