Head of Strategic Market Initiatives | Singapore

This is a senior-level opportunity for a dynamic professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, policy, and innovation. Positioned within a high-profile division, the successful candidate will take the lead on shaping forward-looking market initiatives, facilitating regulatory alignment, and managing multi-disciplinary programs that enhance market development and stakeholder trust.

This role is tailored for a commercially sharp, execution-oriented leader who enjoys translating strategic vision into real-world impact across Singapore’s capital markets landscape.

What You’ll Do
  • Spearhead critical market-building programs that align with regulatory expectations and industry needs
  • Drive the design and roll-out of strategic frameworks and initiatives that expand market capabilities and investor participation
  • Lead structured engagements with internal leadership and external regulators on priority topics affecting the equities landscape
  • Manage complex programs that require close alignment across Product, Risk, Technology, and Operational teams
  • Serve as a key architect in shaping market positioning strategies and engagement roadmaps
  • Conduct scenario analysis and produce business cases to support new initiatives and platform enhancements
  • Oversee stakeholder coordination and ensure timely execution of cross-functional deliverables
  • Develop high-impact communications, discussion papers, and policy responses for both internal and external forums
  • Cultivate external relationships across the ecosystem to support intelligence gathering, benchmarking, and strategic alignment
What You Bring
Core Capabilities
  • Deep expertise in Singapore’s capital markets, preferably with relevant experience in strategy, regulatory affairs, or market development functions
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives or regulatory programs within a complex financial institution or capital markets environment
  • In-depth familiarity with MAS regulations and capital market structures
  • Excellent program management skills with the ability to drive clarity and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, coupled with business pragmatism
  • Confident communicator with the presence to influence senior stakeholders and represent the institution externally
Preferred Attributes
  • Prior experience in an exchange, trading venue, or regulatory policy function
  • Exposure to investor engagement or ecosystem-building initiatives
  • Track record in developing policy positions or contributing to industry dialogue
