The Head of Operations is responsible for leading the end-to-end operations of the insurance business. This role drives operational excellence, process optimization, and technology adoption to enhance efficiency, scalability, compliance, and customer experience. You will act as a strategic leader, ensuring operations effectively support business growth and aligns with MAS regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to lead, mentor, and foster a customer-centric team with high performance standards.
- Able to collaborate with senior management and across all other departments to align operational strategy with business objectives.
- Contribute to corporate strategy by providing operational insights (through data and dashboards), cost optimization initiatives, and execution plans.
- Able to continuously champion process re-engineering to ensure operationalscalability.
- Review, streamline, and standardize operational processes to resolve bottlenecks, improve accuracy and turnaround time.
- You need to Partner with Tech to drive the use of technology and digital tools for increasing automation and reducing manual processes.
- You need to ensure all operational activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Able to maintain strong controls to safeguard data integrity and customerinformation.
Job Requirements:
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- You must have a minimum 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
- Deep understanding of insurance operations (e.g. payments, underwriting support, policy administration, claims, servicing).
- You must have a strong understanding of Singapore insurance regulatory requirements (MAS).
- Proven track record in operational transformation and technology adoption.
- You must have an experience implementing or enhancing insurance core systems and digital workflows.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- You must have a strong people leadership and change management skills.
- You must have a strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Professional insurance or process improvement certifications are an advantage.
