Overview

The Head of Global Asset Servicing will lead and oversee all operational activities related to asset servicing across global markets. This executive role ensures the accurate and timely processing of corporate actions, income events, proxy voting, reconciliations, and entitlements, while driving operational excellence, risk controls, and service delivery standards across regions. The leader will partner closely with front office, product, technology, compliance, and external custodians to ensure best-in-class servicing for institutional, wealth, and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
  • Lead the global Asset Servicing function, setting strategic direction, operational standards, and long-term capability development.
  • Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal controls.
  • Develop and execute transformation roadmaps to drive automation, efficiency, and scalability.
Operations Management
  • Oversee end-to-end asset servicing operations including corporate actions (voluntary & mandatory), dividends, interest payments, proxy voting, tax reclaims, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and risk mitigation across all asset servicing processes globally.
  • Drive continuous improvement across workflows, SLAs, and service quality metrics.
Risk & Control
  • Strengthen operational risk frameworks, ensuring effective identification, mitigation, and reporting of risks.
  • Lead incident and break management, ensuring robust root‑cause analysis and sustainable remediation.
  • Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to ensure full adherence to market regulations and evolving standards.
Stakeholder & Client Management
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for internal stakeholders including Front Office, COO, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Manage relationships with custodians, clearing agents, regulators, and market infrastructure providers.
  • Support client onboarding, due diligence, and client presentations involving asset servicing products and capabilities.
Transformation & Technology
  • Champion digitalisation initiatives including automation, workflow optimisation, AI‑assisted event capture, and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Technology and Product teams on global platform upgrades, data quality improvements, and operational resilience initiatives.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and inspire global teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Shape workforce planning, succession management, and talent development frameworks.
  • Promote continuous learning, innovation, and a strong risk & control mindset.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 15+ years of experience in Asset Servicing, Middle Office, or Securities Operations within global financial institutions.
  • Deep expertise in corporate actions, income processing, and global securities markets.
  • Proven track record leading large, distributed teams in a complex operational environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements across major markets (US, Europe, APAC).
  • Experience driving transformation or digitalisation programs.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and crisis‑handling skills.
