Job description

The hiring company is an Accounting and Corporate Secretarial firm, looking to hire a Head of Corporate Secretarial to lead the Corporate Secretarial team in Singapore.

The Head of Corporate Secretarial reports to the group CEO directly.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Development for the team
  • Responsible for overall client servicing
  • Maintain good client relationships and client satisfaction
  • Oversee budget preparation and forecasts for the team
  • Responsible for managing the team’s targets and monitor performance against target.
  • Work with BD team to develop new initiatives
  • Meet prospects and propose fee proposals to win new clients
  • Responsible for staff trainings
  • Provide accurate and timely management reporting and attend management meetings as required
  • Work on new IT initiatives for innovation and to increase productivity
  • Responsible for approval of fee proposals, new leads and opportunities and agreements
  • Daily management of new and existing engagements with managers and the team
  • Work with managers to handle client issues and escalations
  • HR duties – staff counselling, evaluation, annual salary review exercises, finalising KPIs
  • Approving vendor invoices, staff timesheets
  • Manage team’s incident reporting procedures and follow up actions
  • Manage team’s BCP and data recovery matters
  • Manage team’s KYC, due diligence, AML matters
  • Manage team’s legal, PDPA, data protection matters
  • Other adhoc duties assigned

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, team working and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently, create solutions to challenges
  • Experience in servicing a portfolio of clients (private and publicly listed companies)
  • Knowledge in IFRS and local business compliance regulations
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in relevant sector
  • Possess 10 years of professional accounting experience
