Job Description & Requirements:

Responsible for managing Cost of Sale and inventory management, driving productivity savings agenda, provide commercial support to GTR Supply Chain Manager in driving supply chain strategic agenda and external contract negotiations.

Key accountabilities:
  • Review monthly Cost of Sales variance analysis provided by CFOM team, provide meaningful insight to aid business decision making/resource allocation.
  • Perform monthly cashflow forecast for operation related items, contribute to overall GTR cash delivery.
  • Review transfer prices (NPI projects and annual transfer price update) from 23 source factories, and ensure Product Costing team (based in KL Malaysia) reflects correctly in ECC the actual transfer prices
  • Manage month end closing for supply chain related activities, ensure financials are captured accurately.
  • Provide indicative costing to Commercial Finance to support business case formulation.
  • Ensure control and governance procedures for supply chain are in place and operating effectively, identify ways to improve current control environment.
  • Effective Finance business partner with supply chain managers to drive spend effectiveness on freight and warehousing activities, support warehouse footprint review/contract negotiation.
  • Close collaboration with Area Corp Finance and Regional Ops Finance to address any planning/reporting issues on timely basis.
  • Driving Savings agenda.
  • Subject matter expert for stock build governance, review stock build note to ensure commercial justification and risk mitigation in place.
  • Effective Finance business partner with supply chain managers to drive spend effectiveness.
  • Leverage on Product Costing CoE team in KL to gain insight on transfer prices.
Working relationship
  • Close collaboration with CFOM team based in KL to ensure monthly SOP cycles are run smoothly.
  • Close collaboration with commercial finance team based in HK on SKU profitability analysis/Business Case preparation where COGS assumptions are needed.
  • Close collaboration with Area and Regional Ops Finance team on ops finance planning and reporting activities.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders for savings and COS delivery.
  • Manage 1 dotted reporting line based in KL.
  • This role supports GTR Head of Finance (based in Hong Kong) in managing the supply chain finance for GTR.
  • GTR has a global footprint both in terms of sales and product sourcing (more than 10 source factories), with 5 warehouses (1 each in Belgium, SG, HK, JP and KR).
  • Supply chain team members located in SG, UK, KR and HK.
Requirements:
  • Degree educated or with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in an global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP / BPC / BI
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • An ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company and external parties
  • Ability to handle large volumes of information and present it in an accurate and relevant format.
  • Rational decision making and problem-solving ability is essential
