A leading precision engineering company in Singapore is seeking a Group Procurement Manager responsible for driving category procurement strategies and improving supplier performance. The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience and expertise in procurement and supply chain management. The Group Procurement Manager is responsible for driving category procurement strategies, improving supplier performance, and enabling site procurement and operations teams to optimise supply relationships across Spindex’s regional manufacturing network.
The role will begin as hands‑on, working closely with site purchasing teams on group supplier performance reviews, benchmarking, sourcing support, and improvement initiatives. As Spindex continues to grow and evolve, we expect opportunities to broaden scope and responsibilities over time, based on business needs and individual performance.
Support implementation of group‑level category and supplier management standards across sites.
Monitor compliance with procurement policies and contractual requirements.
Facilitate supplier performance management across cost, quality, delivery, service, and innovation.
Review supplier KPIs and support corrective and improvement actions.
Maintain industry, cost, and supply market benchmarks for assigned categories.
Benchmark suppliers and identify performance or cost gaps.
Support sourcing initiatives and commercial negotiations in collaboration with sites.
Coordinate supplier development initiatives for priority suppliers.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related discipline.
5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations consulting.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Collaborative, pragmatic, and improvement‑oriented working style.
Understanding of supply market structures, competitive dynamics, and regional sourcing trends.
Knowledge of industry cost drivers and supplier economics relevant to manufacturing.
Ability to analyse spend profiles, demand trends, and site‑level usage patterns, supported by data‑driven tools and dashboards where available.
Experience defining, tracking, and interpreting supplier KPIs and benchmarks, with exposure to performance‑tracking and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to support ongoing monitoring and insight generation.
Ability to prepare clear, structured insights and recommendations for site and group stakeholders, translating data into practical actions.
Fluency in English and Mandarin required, need to communicate with counterparts and manage sites in China.
