As Group Controller in SK Tes that owns subsidiaries across multiple countries plays an important role in overseeing internal management accounting. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, effective decision by management, also communication with SK Ecoplant, the parent company. The Group Controller acts as a key liaison between the headquarters and subsidiaries, facilitating communication and alignment of financial strategies.
Job responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for all subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process and financial forecasting for the group, incorporating input from all subsidiaries.
- Performance Analysis
Analyse financial performance metrics across subsidiaries, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Internal Controls
Establish and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Cost Management
Monitor and analyse costs across the group, implementing cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.
- Compliance and Governance
Ensure compliance with local regulations and international financial reporting standards, coordinating with external auditors as necessary.
- Cash Flow Management
Oversee cash flow management for the group, ensuring adequate liquidity and optimizing working capital across subsidiaries.
If needed, request cash support from SK Ecoplant as shareholder.
- Financial Strategy Development
Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s overall objectives.
- Training and Development
Provide training and support to finance teams within subsidiaries to enhance their financial reporting and management capabilities.
- Intercompany Transactions
Manage and oversee intercompany transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
- Risk Management
Identify financial risks across the group and develop strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Stakeholder Communication
Communicate financial performance and strategic initiatives to stakeholders, including senior management and the board of directors.
Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
- Relevant experience in accounting and finance, including leadership exposure in a finance function
- Proven experience performing financial controller or group finance responsibilities
- Prior experience in audit firms, large organisations, or public-sector environments is an added advantage
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
