Get to Know the Team

The Service Management Engineering team is building a platform to scaffold software components and serve as a pane‑of‑glass to help developers operate their services more effectively.

Get to Know the Role

This is a 6 months full‑time onsite role based in Singapore as part of the GRIT Programme.

In this role, you will develop the ability to write production‑quality code in a large‑scale, collaborative environment, working closely with multiple contributors across teams. You'll learn and apply engineering best practices for designing systems at scale, while building a high‑level understanding of adjacent domains such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud environments. You'll also gain hands‑on experience with the latest AI technologies to accelerate development, enhance code quality, and streamline workflows.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

The trainee will be involved in the following areas:

  • Writing backend and frontend code along with performing code reviews of other code
  • Writing tests to ensure that the code is working as intended
  • Providing progress and status updates as part of the project
Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering field
  • Familiarity with modern languages (experience with Golang & Typescript is a plus!)
  • Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, UNIX‑based operating systems, relational and NoSQL databases
  • Some exposure or familiarity with AI tools, e.g. Cursor
