Redstone Commodity Search are working with an investment fund looking to hire an experienced Futures Trader to join a high-performing team and take ownership of arbitrage trading across iron ore, steel and coal markets. This role suits a commercially driven trader with strong market insight, a proven P&L track record and deep understanding of China–global futures dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sophisticated trading strategies across iron, steel and coal, with a strong focus on commodity arbitrage.
  • Take full ownership of iron ore, coal and steel futures arbitrage, covering both onshore and offshore markets, including China vs global futures spreads.
  • Analyse and consolidate holdings, monitor brokerage funds and monthly positions, and provide timely reporting to the trading supervisor.
  • Conduct in-depth industry research, collect and analyse sector data, and prepare high-quality market and research reports.
  • Identify high-value investment opportunities through continuous market monitoring and analytical assessment.
Experience Required
  • 3–5 years’ experience in futures or securities finance with hands-on commodity arbitrage and a solid P&L track record.
  • Strong market insight with excellent organisational, analytical and logical reasoning capabilities.
  • Confident communicator with strong coordination, execution and problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to diverse, fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering or a related discipline.
