Job description
The Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Counsellor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering evidence-based treatments, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and experience in administering psychological assessments as well as strong report writing skills.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based interventions, with a primary focus on CBT.
  • Develop specialised clinical care pathways in line with the evidence-base and best practice.
  • Provide individual, couples, group therapy sessions for clients, both in-person and virtually.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing service development and improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement client-centered treatment plans.
  • Work closely with our 24/7 helpline responder team to manage risk, ensure the safety of clients in crisis situations and provide crisis interventions
  • Develop and implement SOPs for risk management and clinical procedures, and train providers on these processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
  • Continuously update professional knowledge and skills through participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Ability to commit to clinic operating hours of Monday to Friday 10-9pm and Saturday 10-2pm on a roster basis. There will be 2 evening working days each week (1-9pm) and 2 working Saturdays each month.
Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Counselling
  • At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical or counselling experience, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Expertise in individual and group facilitation
  • Proficient in planning and executing online seminars with the use of various web platforms and adept at creating engaging content.
  • Proficient in effectively navigating and managing crisis situations.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in delivering evidence-based treatments with a focus on CBT as a core treatment modality.
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration as a Counsellor in Singapore (Singapore Association for Counselling or SAC).
  • Must be able to conduct in-person sessions at Intellect's office location or our partnered client's location.
  • Good to have: Experience in providing clinical supervision to other mental health professionals.
