Job summary

An engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Engineer to ensure that FPSO design and operations comply with local and international regulations. This position involves close collaboration with regulatory bodies, managing compliance documentation, and providing guidance on regulatory impacts throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering, strong knowledge of maritime legislation, and extensive experience in offshore regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Additional certifications in regulatory compliance, maritime law, or offshore safety standards are advantageous.
  • At least 5–15 years of FPSO, offshore, or maritime regulatory compliance experience.
  • Strong understanding of offshore regulatory frameworks and Class rules.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure FPSO design and engineering meet regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise directly with regulators and government agencies for approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain regulatory compliance matrices and documentation.
  • Support internal and external audits related to regulatory compliance.

Skills

Strong knowledge of maritime legislation and offshore safety standards
Excellent communication and coordination skills
High attention to detail

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Marine, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Offshore Engineering)
