Job summary

A leading aerospace maintenance provider in Singapore is seeking an FPI Technician to perform inspections on aircraft engine components. The successful candidate will have ASNT Level 2 certification in FPI and at least one year of experience in an aerospace setting. You'll work closely with engineers and shop floor personnel, read technical drawings, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. This role requires proficiency in spoken and written English and Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

• ASNT Level 2 certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection required.
• 1+ year experience in an aerospace environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform FPI on aircraft engine components to locate discontinuities.
• Review test orders and determine test procedures.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work from process travellers and operation sheets to perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on aircraft engine components to locate and determine the severity of discontinuities.
• Review test orders to determine type of test required, test procedures, and part acceptability criteria.
• Apply proper agents such as cleaners, penetrants and developers over part in preparation for testing.
• Follow prescribed procedures for non‑destructive testing.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and work area.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Possess ASNT Level 2 in FPI or NAS 410 Level 2 in FPI or PCN Level 2 in FPI.
• At least 1 year experience in an aerospace environment preferred.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Able to interface with all levels of shop floor personnel and engineers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office application.
