Job summary

A global operations management consulting firm is seeking an experienced FP&A Analyst located in Singapore or other AP region cities. Responsibilities

  • Review projects with project controllers, ensuring accurate expense management.
  • Assist in improving AP Region/Market performance, tracking project performance.
  • Plan and execute special projects requiring cross-functional engagement.
  • Handle M&A Activities from due diligence to integration.
  • Work on financial matters and ad-hoc requests with the AP Senior FP&A Regional Leader.

Who are we looking for?

Reporting to the Senior FP&A Regional Leader of AP, we are looking for an experienced FP&A Analyst. This new role can be based in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, or India. As a member of the FP&A Team, you will assist in the implementation of strategic plans as well as the financial assessment of prospective business opportunities and initiatives. The candidate will work for the AP Region in close collaboration with the Senior FP&A Regional Leader covering all markets.

What will you do?
  • Assist with the budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes for the AP region, establishing appropriate inputs, outputs, timetables and necessary levels of analysis to clearly ‘tell the story’ and enable informed decisions by the business.
  • Provide support to the AP Senior FP&A Regional Leader to help drive deeper understanding of sales pipeline, revenues, contract sell‑pricing, project and customer profitability.
  • Actively review projects with project controllers in F&O and CRM, ensuring all expenses and costs are charged to the project and that backlog/milestones maintenance is 100% accurate at all times.
  • Assist in improving AP Region/Market performance: push for FSE chargeability and utilization, A/R follow‑up on a weekly basis with business, track project performance in Power BI, and challenge/analyses with PMs on deviations or concerns.
  • Assist the AP Senior FP&A Regional Leader in being a Finance Business Partner to other team members within Corporate Controlling, providing data and analytics whenever in-depth financial planning knowledge is required.
  • Plan, execute and/or lead selected special projects that require cross‑functional engagement and external stakeholders, controlling project activities to fulfil objectives and satisfy project requirements.
  • M&A Activities: hands‑on execution of financial and operational matters from due diligence to post‑acquisition integration.
  • Work regularly with the AP Senior FP&A Regional Leader on financial matters and ad‑hoc requests, proposals/tenders, etc., supporting the AP Region in implementing and coordinating economic analysis, identifying KPIs and profit drivers.

To be successful in this position, you would bring the following qualifications:

EDUCATION:
  • Accredited university degree / diploma in finance, accounting or business.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in financial planning & analysis and project costing.
  • Experience in a professional services firm is advantageous.
  • Exceptional command of ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable) and advanced PowerPoint, Excel skills including macros, pivot tables and Power BI.
  • Hands‑on, pragmatic approach, able to translate theoretical knowledge into business reality.
  • Team player focused on results and collaboration.
  • Proven experience of business partnering, commercial acumen and understanding of business strategy.
  • Excellent financial communication skills tailored for senior leaders, with the ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships across global teams.
  • A keen learner with a strong desire to develop skills in financial planning and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
