Job summary

Job description
Role Overview

You are the Principal Staff Officer (PSO) to the Chief Commando Officer, responsible for effective Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) management. This includes planning, organising, implementing and ensuring compliance of all OHS efforts within the Commando formation.

Responsibilities
  • Advise Chief Commando Officer on all OHS matters.
  • Support Head General Staff Branch to ensure coordination of trainings and exercises for three units in Hendon Camp and Commando Training Institute in Pasir Ris Camp.
  • Serve as custodian of Commando OHS Manual.
  • Conduct internal audits for units under Commando Formation and training safety inspections.
  • Conduct training safety inspections across formation units.
  • Act as safety gatekeeper to ensure safety regulations are updated timely.
  • Prepare safety appointment holders in Commando Formation for their appointments.
  • Conduct safety seminars and safety days as principal OHS trainer.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety management standards across high-risk training activities.
