About the Role:

As a Food Production Assistant at Annie’s All Natural, you’ll play a key role in producing our yoghurts and cultured creams from start to finish. You’ll support production, packaging, and quality control while keeping the workspace clean, organized, and efficient. This is a hands-on, full-time position with a 5.5-day work week. While we champion work-life balance, this role requires flexibility for operational needs, including the willingness to work occasional shifts on public holidays and overtime, when needed.

Key Responsibilities (You will):
Production & Operations
  • Operate manual and automated equipment for product manufacturing and cleaning cycles.
  • Prepare items for production, strictly following set recipes and SOPs
  • Receive and inspect deliveries and raw materials, verifying quality and quantity.
Quality & Documentation
  • Follow task lists, complete daily checklists, and ensure accurate record-keeping for production logs and traceability.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation in the production area daily.
Packaging & Logistics
  • Arrange and prepare packaging materials for final products.
  • Fulfill and prepare yoghurt and cultured cream orders for dispatch.
Team & Communication
  • Participate in daily check-ins and weekly planning meetings.
  • Communicate with suppliers and external vendors as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the production schedule.
Food Safety & Sanitation
  • Perform comprehensive daily cleaning, washing, and sanitizing production equipment, floors, and surfaces according to SOPs.
  • Execute deep cleaning cycles and detailed maintenance tasks on a scheduled basis (e.g., weekly or monthly).
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entire facility, including storage areas, cold rooms, and common spaces.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all personal hygiene protocols and food safety regulations (HACCP/GMP standards).
Qualifications & Requirements:

Must-Haves:

  • Prior experience in food production, professional kitchens, or manufacturing is required.
  • Physically able to lift up to 25kg regularly and stand for long periods.
  • Possess a Basic Food Hygiene Course Certificate (or be willing to obtain one immediately upon hire).
  • Willingness to work the required 5.5-day schedule

Work Hours: 44 hours; 5.5 days per week (7:30-4:30pm M – F; 8:30am-12:30 pm Sat)

Note: May occasionally request work on public holidays and overtime, for which overtime pay and/or leave in lieu will be provided.
