Overview
We are seeking a seasoned consultant with over 15 years of experience in financial technology and operational transformation, specifically within asset and wealth management domains. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in front‑office technology implementations, portfolio management workflows, and strategic change initiatives. This role is pivotal to the successful pre‑implementation and future deployment of a new Portfolio Management System (PMS), with a focus on systems such as BlackRock Aladdin and Avaloq.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end pre‑implementation framework for the PMS initiative, including discovery, gap analysis, future‑state design, and implementation readiness.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to document current‑state workflows, system architecture, and data flows using BPMN 2.0 standards.
- Perform detailed gap analyses to identify inefficiencies, compliance risks, and performance limitations in existing systems and processes.
- Develop strategic and tactical transformation opportunities, including automation, integration, and process optimization aligned with PMS capabilities.
- Design future‑state operating models and functional requirements that support portfolio construction, analytics, and compliance workflows.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and governance planning to ensure readiness for Q1 2026 implementation kick‑off.
- Deliver key documentation including Gap Analysis Reports, Transformation Opportunity Reports, Functional Requirements Documents, and Implementation Roadmaps.

- Business Process Re‑engineering: Expertise in analysing and redesigning investment workflows for efficiency and scalability.
- Technology Integration: Proven experience with PMS/OMS platforms, particularly BlackRock Aladdin and Avaloq.
- Requirements Engineering: Skilled in translating complex business needs into actionable functional specifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong facilitation skills to drive consensus across cross‑functional teams.
- Governance & Change Management: Ability to establish robust governance frameworks and manage organizational change effectively.
- Project Road mapping: Experience in developing phased implementation plans and readiness packages for financial system transitions.

- Spearheaded the pre‑implementation and vendor selection for a multi‑asset PMS, through a compelling business case and future‑state design.
- Delivered process efficiency improvements for a private bank through automation and workflow redesign.
- Led functional requirements gathering and integration planning for an Aladdin deployment, ensuring seamless connectivity with custody and reporting systems.
- Mapped end‑to‑end trade lifecycle and IBOR processes for a pension fund, forming the foundation for a successful RFP process.
- Designed reconciliation and reporting requirements for a new performance analytics platform, bridging gaps with legacy systems.
- Facilitated stakeholder workshops to align scope and timelines for a major data architecture overhaul.
- Developed comprehensive implementation readiness packages including training, communication, and cut‑over strategies.
