Overview

Our client, a reputable investment management firm, is seeking a Financial Controller supporting the CFO to drive the financials, strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and taxation for its REIT. This incumbent provides financial advisory to Management and the Board and participates in strategic decision making. He/She will oversee the team, empower and develop their careers, and handle financial and regulatory reporting (in accordance with SGX, MAS, and relevant accounting standards), tax, financing, and heavy business partnering with external stakeholders such as bankers, trustees and auditors. Opportunity to monitor risk management and support projects related to M&A, capital raising and other strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial advisory to Management and the Board and participate in strategic decision making.
• Oversee the finance team and develop staff capabilities.
• Ensure financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with SGX, MAS, and relevant accounting standards.
• Manage tax, financing, and external stakeholder relationships (bankers, trustees, auditors).
• Monitor risk management and support projects related to M&A, capital raising and other strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15-18 years of relevant working experience in accounting/audit/finance.
• At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in REITs.
• A degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualifications: Chartered Accountant, CPA, or ACCA.
• Ability to manage stakeholders across the globe and work effectively under pressure in a driven, high-intensity environment.
