Job summary

A construction finance firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled finance professional with at least 10 years of experience in finance operations and accounting. This role involves overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore regulations, and managing full spectrum accounting activities. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and preferably a professional accounting qualification. Proficiency in SAP and Chinese is advantageous, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Description
  • Assist in establishing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive financial, accounting, and finance operations frameworks, policies, procedures, and internal controls for the company.
  • Oversee end to end finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and payment processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including closing activities and financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and internal policies.
  • Ensure full compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, tax regulations, and regulatory filing obligations, and monitor changes in regulatory and reporting standards.
  • Manage and coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, banks, and professional service providers to support audit, tax, and operational finance activities.
  • Review and manage tax compliance matters, including goods and services tax and corporate income tax, and support tax planning and advisory initiatives where applicable.
  • Oversee daily finance operations such as cash management, payment approvals, bank reconciliations, and fund movements to ensure operational efficiency and financial control.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity position, and implement controls to support sound treasury and finance operations.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial planning activities, and provide analysis and insights to management for operational and strategic decision making.
  • Provide financial and operational analysis to support business operations, project costing, and management decision making.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data capture, timely processing of transactions, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support group reporting and finance operations alignment in accordance with directives from the parent company listed in Taiwan.
  • Assist in the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of finance and accounting systems, workflows, and operational processes to improve efficiency and control.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and audit trails are maintained for all finance and operational transactions.
  • Perform other finance and operational duties as assigned by management.
Requirement
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant is required or strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and finance operations, with proven experience working in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and Singapore regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Hands on experience managing full set of accounts, finance operations, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience working with accounting and enterprise resource planning systems, with SAP experience considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is preferred to support communication with regional or group stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
