Job summary

A financial services company is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage General Ledger tasks and lead financial reporting. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Mandarin, have a finance or accounting background, and experience in the construction sector is preferred. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, tax filings, and coordinating audits. The role is remote with a salary up to RM6,500/month.

Responsibilities

  • Manage General Ledger & lead monthly/quarterly/year-end closing.
  • Prepare Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statement.
  • Perform budget vs actual, cost analysis & profitability analysis.
  • Handle corporate income tax, withholding tax, and SST filings.
  • Provide tax optimisation insights.
  • Maintain & improve internal control procedures.
  • Coordinate internal & external audits.
  • Review payroll prepared by HR.

💰 Salary

Up to RM6,500/month

✔ 1-Year Contract option to extend or conversion to Perm

🕒 Working Hours / Duration
  • 5-day work week (Mon–Fri)
  • 8.30am - 6pm
📍 Location

Work From Home (Malaysia-based)

After 1 year: Office may shift to JB or Penang

🔧 Key Responsibilities
  • Manage General Ledger & lead monthly/quarterly/year-end closing
  • Prepare Income Statement, Balance Sheet & Cash Flow Statement
  • Perform budget vs actual, cost analysis & profitability analysis
  • Handle corporate income tax, withholding tax, and SST filings
  • Provide tax optimisation insights
  • Maintain & improve internal control procedures
  • Coordinate internal & external audits
  • Review payroll prepared by HR (EPF, SOCSO, EIS accuracy)
✅ Requirements
  • Strong Mandarin proficiency (to work effectively with Chinese contractors & teams)
  • Finance/Accounting background with experience in Construction sector preferred
  • Hands-on knowledge of:
    ✔ Cross-border remittances
    ✔ Import/export trade operations
    ✔ Malaysian taxation, SST, payroll statutory deductions
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment
