Job summary
A leading accounting firm in Singapore is seeking an Accounting Assistant to manage records, process invoices, and support month-end tasks. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and has 1–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and strong organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience with AP and AR exposure.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Candidates with semiconductor or electronics experience will have an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accounting records including AP, AR, intercompany transactions, and general ledger functions.
- Process vendor invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Issue customer invoices and receipts; follow up on outstanding AR in coordination with internal teams.
- Support month-end closing activities: preparation of journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of GST filings and tax-related documentation.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for monthly/quarterly financial reports.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and reports as required.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives, system data entry, and ERP-related clean-up.
- Undertake other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Finance team.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience, with exposure to AP and AR processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Candidates with experience in the semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry will have an advantage.
