Job Description
Strategic Business Partnering
- Partner with the CEO, CFO, and commercial leadership to align financial strategy with business growth objectives.
- Provide actionable insights on pricing, portfolio optimization, and market expansion.
- Influence decision‑making with credibility, balancing financial rigor with commercial agility.
Competitor & Market Analysis
- Lead competitor benchmarking across categories, channels, and geographies.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and risks.
- Present clear recommendations to leadership on competitive positioning and growth strategies.
Investment & Brand Analysis
- Conduct investment appraisals for new brand launches, acquisitions, and market entries.
- Build robust business cases, including ROI, NPV, and sensitivity analysis.
- Partner with marketing and commercial teams to evaluate brand performance and profitability.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning for multi‑million P&Ls.
- Drive efficiency in working capital, cashflow forecasting, and CapEx allocation.
- Ensure financial targets are met while supporting aggressive growth plans.
The Successful Applicant
- Chartered Accountant / CPA / CFA or equivalent professional qualification.
- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within FMCG or consumer‑driven industries.
- Proven track record in competitor analysis, investment appraisal, and strategic finance partnering.
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
- Experience in fast‑growth, multi‑market environments; exposure to brand launches or acquisitions is an advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with credibility at C‑suite level.
