Job summary

A leading multinational in materials trading is seeking a Finance Director, Controllership in Singapore to oversee regional financial reporting and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified with CPA and 15 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably in MNCs and earlier years in the Big 4. Strong project management skills and the ability to engage stakeholders in a diverse, fast-paced environment are essential.

About the Company

A leading materials trading and manufacturing multinational, Singapore is anchored as a regional hub and has been achieving positive growth. They are now looking for a dynamic and steadfast professional to lead their financial reporting function as a Finance Director, Controllership.

About the Job

As one of the key financial controllership leaders, you will be responsible for the region's statutory and tax reporting, ensuring compliance to corporate and regulatory requirements. Partnering with all aspects of the business (including shared services, finance analysis, operations etc), you will drive best practices and improve existing framework and processes to uphold strong controls and governance. You will be the advisor on latest legislation developments and technical accounting treatments to complement with business changes. You will provide leadership to your teams based across countries to ensure alignment and effectiveness in work flow.

Skills and Experience Required

You should ideally be degree qualified and preferably with CPA, with at least 15 years of hands‑on technical accounting experiences gained from MNCs and earlier years in the Big 4. You are technically proficient and a strong finance advisor to engage with stakeholders in a highly matrix environment. You possess good project management skills, are communicative, dynamic and adaptable to a fast paced and diverse environment.
