A leading venture capital firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead financial and operational responsibilities for MHV funds. This senior role will require collaboration with various teams to manage compliance and support fund operations. Were looking for an experienced Finance Director to join Monks Hill Ventures (MHV) a leading venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech companies across Southeast Asia. We are entrepreneurs backing entrepreneurs who use technology to improve the lives of millions in the region.
This role will lead financial and operational responsibilities for MHV funds and the management company build best practices and strengthen processes. As a senior member of the finance team you’ll be highly visible to the firm’s leadership and report directly to a Partner.
You’ll collaborate closely with our Investment and Investor Relations teams as well as fund administrators LPs portfolio companies legal counsel auditors vendors and other partners across the fund life cycle.
Lead internal finance team and external fund administrators to deliver accurate timely quarterly and annual accounting and investor reports for all MHV fund entities.
Oversee capital calls distributions performance tracking and investor queries.
Provide ongoing fund deployment updates and track NAV / returns.
Manage GP entity reporting partner allocations and carried interest calculations.
Ensure timely regulatory and tax filings (FATCA CRS) and compliance with MAS US and Cayman authorities.
Work with tax agents on Singapore / US filings for fund entities and LPs; manage GST filing in-house.
Strengthen internal financial controls streamline processes and enhance compliance.
Chair internal compliance board oversee FMC fund and portfolio company compliance (including AML) and maintain / update the Compliance Manual with input from external advisors.
Track portfolio investment schedule and prepare quarterly valuation updates.
Lead valuation process coordinate reporting with internal teams external valuers and auditors; refine policy as needed.
Review portfolio companies financial statements monitor compliance and ensure regulatory adherence.
Partner with our investment team on funding and legal document review on accounting-related matters; enforce investment SOP.
Oversee FMC accounting operations tax filings and MAS VCFM licence compliance.
Manage budgets reporting and payments.
Support upcoming fund launches : structuring entity setup documentation service provider coordination and investor onboarding.
10‑15 years experience ideally blending public accounting and investment management; venture capital background a plus.
Sharp analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Proven team leader : results‑driven able to juggle priorities and deliver on time.
Collaborative with excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Self‑starter with a strong work ethic proactive and thrives in fast‑paced environments.
End to end fund cycle exposure (formation and administration through to exits) is a plus.
