Job summary

A design and architecture company in Singapore is seeking a proactive finance operations manager. You will manage financial reporting, compliance, and cash flow while providing support to the management team. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance and a professional qualification like ACCA or CPA. Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia accounting regulations is essential, along with hands-on experience in budgeting and financial reporting. This is a full-time position with work hours from 9am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) preferred.
• Exposure to the construction industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
• Hands-on experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills to liaise with management and external stakeholders.

About the role:

We are looking for a driven and proactive person with commercial acumen to be a key support for the management team. This is a hands‑on role responsible for all finance operations, including managing statutory compliance, maintaining internal controls, and providing financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be involved in day‑to‑day accounting, cost control, and decision‑making support, ensuring financial transparency and alignment with company objectives across Singapore & Malaysia operations.

1) Financial Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and complete financial records, ensuring transparency and compliance with accounting standards.

2) Tax & Compliance (Singapore & Malaysia)

• Ensure the company meets all tax and statutory obligations accurately and on time, while minimizing tax risks.

3) Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor operating costs, analyze variances, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses without compromising operations.

4) Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

• Monitor incoming and outgoing funds to ensure sufficient cash flow for operational needs.
• Optimize liquidity and manage banking relationships, loans, and payments to support smooth operations.

5) Risk Management & Internal Controls

• Establish and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and errors.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Support audits and report on financial risks and compliance matters.

6) Project Financial Management

• Oversee project financial performance by tracking budgets, monitoring contract claims, certifications, and payments.
• Ensure accurate billing, maintain healthy cash flow, and provide financial insights to keep projects within budget.

About you:
