Job summary

A leading aerospace service provider in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Technician/Engineer. This role involves providing service and customer support, managing quality on-site installations, and conducting technical training. The ideal candidate will engage in substantial business travel, approximately 50% of the time, ensuring that all operational standards and customer requirements are met. Strong technical expertise and initiative in promoting the company's products are essential.

Job description
  • Reception and registration of tooling to be serviced
  • Provide service and customer support in-house, during field visits or dispatches with tact and courtesy
  • Responsible for quality on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, reparation, modification and test tasks at customers’ sites
  • Assess errors or problems based on technical expertise in accordance with drawings and technical specifications, rendering appropriate solutions
  • Practise continuous improvement by keeping up-to-date knowledge of new products/services, equipment modifications/maintenance/reparation and related technical information
  • Take initiative to promote organisation’s products/services while performing field visits or dispatches
  • Conduct technical training for internal and external customers
  • Verifying, by visual and technical inspection, incoming goods in accordance to purchase order specifications and conformance with refining practices which requires positive material identification, testing and measuring, etc.
  • Tagging all incoming material required for inspection and locating
  • Assist with general logistical arrangement, documentation and filing
  • Storage and filing of all paperwork associated with operational responsibilities
  • Liaise closely with Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain department on product improvement and customers’ feedback
  • In support of Sales Managers, maintain relationships with customers and ensure Dedienne Aerospace is meeting customers’ required standards and contractual requirements
  • Develop individual customer relationships to ensure maximisation of Dedienne Aerospace activities allowing for the opportunity of full sales potential
  • Actively participate in regular meetings with Sales Managers, Supply Chain Managers and Customer Services Managers to ensure maximisation of cross department discussions
  • Substantial business travel, approximately 50% of time, will be expected to fulfil the Field Service Technician/Engineer role
  • A Visit Report must be completed and sent to all relevant parties in a timely manner
