Job summary

A leading automation services company in Singapore is seeking a Field Service Engineer with 3-5 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation equipment, acting as a technical liaison with customers. Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site installation, commissioning, servicing, training, and maintenance of automation equipment and systems.
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot product failures, including installation of new components and replacement parts.
  • Provide technical service support and act as the technical interface between customers and the Company.
  • Assist engineering teams with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and installation preparation works.
  • Advise customers on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and potential system modifications.
  • Provide expert technical advice to customers to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
  • Communicate effectively with management and end users to implement timely and appropriate resolutions.
  • Provide regular job status updates to the Service Manager to ensure timely closure of all open service requests.
  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Service Team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to phone and on-site technical support requests as assigned.
  • Analyze technical problems and determine appropriate solutions independently or as part of a team.
  • Promote and support value-added services such as spare parts, system upgrades, and service contracts during customer interactions.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and detailed service reports in a timely manner.
  • Support engineering teams in ongoing product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, equipment updates, and industry best practices.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems.
  • Diploma in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
