A leading industrial automation firm is seeking a Field Application Engineer for a hybrid role based in Novena, Singapore. This position involves supporting the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise, and conducting training on IDS products. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A solid understanding of industrial automation and communication protocols is required. Competitive salary up to $6,000 monthly offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with control products in industries such as O&G, Power, Renewable Energies.
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols is preferred.

Overview

• Industry/ Organization Type: Industrial Automation
• Position Title: Field Application Engineer (Hybrid Working Arrangement)
• Working Location: Novena
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon to Fri, 9AM to 6PM)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary up to $6,000 + AWS + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the sales team to support the pre-sales process, including product demonstrations, presentations, spec-in activities
• Provide technical advice on system architecture and configuration for Industrial Data Solutions (IDS) portfolio
• Offer technical assistance and guidance on usage for IDS products, addressing basic queries and issues before they are escalated to the support ticket system
• Conduct training sessions for distributors, partners, and end users on IDS products, covering both technical and applications aspects
• Gather and relay customer feedback to the product team to support continuous improvement and product roadmap
• Bridge between the product team in the US & Europe and our SEA distributors, ensuring that partners are continuously updated with the latest product knowledge and developments
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify new opportunities and support market development activities for IDS products
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of working experience in a Technical Sales and Applications Engineering role, preferably within the industrial automation or industrial networking sectors
• Prior experience with control products in process industries such as O&G, Power, Renewable Energies, etc is highly desirable
• Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols, PLCs, HMIs, or Industrial Ethernet switches is an advantage
