Job description

Your primary responsibility as a Duty Nurse will be to deliver direct patient care, support medical staff, and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all patients under your care.

In this role, you will be expected to:

  1. Provide comprehensive care to patients, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with personal hygiene and daily activities.
  2. Conduct thorough patient assessments, document observations, and communicate significant changes to the healthcare team.
  3. Collaborate with doctors and specialists to develop and implement care plans.
  4. Assist with medical procedures and treatments as directed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols.
  5. Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
  6. Provide emotional support and answer questions to aid patient understanding and recovery.
  7. Respond promptly in emergency situations, providing first aid and life-saving interventions as necessary.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
  9. Work effectively with other nursing staff, medical professionals, and support personnel.

Qualifications include a Diploma or degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Prior clinical experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
