Family Office Advisor & Operations Manager – Single Family Office, Singapore
We are seeking a thoughtful, discreet, and versatile professional to join a newly established Single Family Office as its first hire. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the principal and play a foundational role in building the operating framework of the Family Office, supporting wealth preservation, intergenerational planning, philanthropic initiatives, and overall governance.
The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, structured, and concise, with the maturity to manage sensitive information and the judgment to act as a trusted advisor to the principal. This role is full-time and based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the principal in overseeing a predominantly fund-based investment portfolio focused on long-term preservation.
- Monitor external managers, OCIOs, and advisors to ensure high-quality reporting, diligence, and alignment with the family’s objectives.
- Maintain investment documentation, capital activity records, and consolidated reporting across entities.
- Coordinate with private banks on account administration and operational matters.
- Prepare clear, concise summaries and dashboards for the principal.
Operations, Governance & Regulatory Coordination
- Establish and maintain the operational infrastructure of the Family Office, including processes, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Oversee governance for Singapore entities and cross-border structures, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely filings.
- Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, corporate secretaries, trustees, and other advisors across Singapore and international jurisdictions.
- Support compliance and reporting obligations related to local regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Build a robust framework around controls, risk awareness, documentation, and service-provider oversight.
- Assist the principal in developing and setting up a science-focused charitable foundation.
- Support governance, documentation, grant evaluation processes, and advisor engagement.
- Help structure long-term philanthropic strategy and reporting.
Family & Next-Generation Engagement
- Support initiatives designed to educate and involve the next generation in areas such as governance, financial literacy, and stewardship.
- Help articulate the family’s values, principles, and legacy objectives through clear frameworks and materials.
- Prepare educational content, reports, and tools for multi-generation involvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the principal on a wide range of strategic and operational matters.
- Lead and execute special projects across investment oversight, governance, philanthropy, and cross-border coordination.
- Serve as a central liaison between the principal, advisors, and professional partners to ensure clarity, alignment, and continuity.
- Provide structured, solutions-oriented recommendations and timely updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 8–15 years of experience within a Single Family Office or Multi-Family Office.
- Strong understanding of fund investments and manager oversight (not deal sourcing).
- Experience in governance, entity administration, corporate services, or regulatory coordination in Singapore.
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills with the maturity to work directly with principals.
- High level of discretion, judgment, and reliability.
- Ability to operate independently and build structure in a newly established environment.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with Singapore fund or regulatory frameworks.
- Exposure to charitable foundations or philanthropic governance.
- Work with trustees, private banks, or multi-jurisdictional structures.
- Familiarity with consolidated reporting systems or investment monitoring tools.
