Role Description
As a Facilities Engineer / Senior Facilities Engineer, you will lead the day to day operation, maintenance, and execution of facility projects, ensuring reliability and compliance across all systems. You’ll drive improvements in energy efficiency, sustainability, space utilization, and tenancy management, while providing technical leadership that supports the company’s growth.
Job Description
Facilities Operation & Maintenance
- Lead the operation and maintenance of facility systems (M&E, ACMV, CDA, gases, etc) to ensure reliability while exploring energy-efficient alternatives.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose efficiency improvements.
- Apply analytics to optimize maintenance strategies and recommend system upgrades.
Project & Engineering Management
- Manage facility infrastructure projects, including upgrades, expansions, and sustainability initiatives, including renewable energy and electrification projects.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide cost-benefit input for decision-making.
- Ensure project execution meets safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Align facility capacity planning with business growth, ensuring energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Resource and Carbon Management
- Track and analyze energy performance indicators and drive targeted improvements.
- Lead energy and carbon reduction programs in collaboration with operations.
- Integrate digital solutions such as BMS, EMS, dashboards, and predictive analytics for data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and implement sustainability initiatives on energy, water, and resource conservation to improve operational efficiency.
Space Management and Optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess layout efficiency and maintain structured inventories.
- Perform audits to validate occupancy, vacancy, and utilization.
- Implement layout adjustments, repurpose, and consolidation to maximize efficiency and rental income.
Tenancy & Lease Management
- Identify and evaluate external leasing strategies to generate rental income.
- Oversee tenancy and lease agreements, ensuring compliance and alignment with business needs.
- Standardized and centralized lease documentation for transparency and compliance.
- Manage tenant needs and obligations, fostering strong relationships and retention.
Management Systems
- Maintain and implement ISO management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
- Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in facilities engineering or maintenance.
- Knowledge of building systems and Singapore regulations (BCA, SCDF, WSH).
- Hands-on experience with maintenance programs and facility operations.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SCEM, FSM, GMFM) are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- A collaborative team player with a strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
