Job summary

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process and advise Export Letters of Credit (LCs) and amendments, lodging export documents

  • Processing of Letters of Credit and other related LC tasks.

  • Attend to clients over the counter for LC / Amendments collection and handle LC advising charges collection.

  • Tally daily receipt of advising/amendments charges.

  • Follow up with clients/LC issuing bank for LC / Amendment pending collection at the counter.

  • Lodging and dispatch of export documents under LC & non-LC.

  • Putting up discounting bills for approval along with summary of charges.

  • Conduct all due diligence / EDD checks such as name screening, sanction checks, as per AML CFT policy.

  • Ensuring that all transactions are done as per various policy/regulatory guidelines.

  • Reconciliation of Nostro account entries related to the area of operations.

  • Attending to queries of customers, supervisors and other banks via phone mail, swift, walk in etc. related to the area of operations.

  • Other trade related activities based on business / Bank requirements.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree or Diploma equivalent preferably in Banking / Finance.

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Trade Finance / Operations role in Bank (Freshers may also be considered).

  • Good understanding of banking compliance.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft applications: Excel/Word.

  • Able to commit for the full 3-6 months contract.
